The fine folks over at FX have introduced a new television series devoted to the horror fan. Created from the minds of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (Nip/Tuck and Glee). American Horror Story premiered last night Wednesday October 6, 2011 and based on the pilot this series may in fact become a hit.
The story tells the tale of a East Coast family's attempt to create a new life in rural Los Angeles. Unknown to them the house they just recently purchased has its own plan for the family of three. Husband and wife, played by Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, attempt to rekindle their falling marriage based upon tragedies and infidelity, while their daughter, played by Taissa Farmiga, struggles with big city, depression, and over zealous high schoolers. Benjamin (father) is a therapist whose patients are less than normal, while his wife is portrayed as a stay at home mother. Slowly as the family attempts to settle in they encounter nosey neighbors, previous residences, and one very deceptive house maid. If the horror aspect and thriller side of this series doesn't make you salivate then the house maid's alter ego (Alexandra Breckenridge) sure as hell will.
American Horror Story airs Wednesday nights at 10 PM (EST) and begins International in November on either FOX or FX, so check your local listings and save space on your DVR's.
